Isix Training is a comprehensive, specialized program designed to assist both beginners and advanced users. The program consists of two classes with a duration of two days each. After participating in the classes, users will have a proficient knowledge of Isix and will be able to use Isix to fulfill integration requirements. All classes are led by an experienced trainer who will work with your team to ensure that your unique Isix training needs are met.
Basic Isix Training
Basic Isix training will introduce you to the key components and capabilities of Isix. Through lecture and hands-on labs, users will learn how to create and run data conversions and interfaces. The following topics will be addressed:
- Basic components of Isix
- Pre-installation configurations
- Product default settings
- User and security settings
- Client and server installations
- Isix Interface Wizard
- Data conversions and interfaces
- Differences between files and queries as data sources
- Report generation and evaluation
- Preview of advanced functionality: source table queries, action lists, data elements and data element mapping
Advanced Isix Training
For more in-depth training that builds on the Basic course, we highly recommend the Advanced level program. This training delves into the more complex capabilities of Isix. You will gain the skill to recognize and solve problems in complex interfaces. Through lecture and in-depth, hands-on labs the following topics are addressed:
- Action lists
- Custom data elements
- Log files
- Implementation mapping and validation
Prerequisites
It is highly recommended that users possess the following knowledge prior to attending Isix training:
- Working knowledge of the Oracle Applications Object library (AOL)
- Functional and technical application navigation knowledge, including data models
- SQL and SQL*Plus knowledge
- General knowledge of UNIX, including navigation commands and familiarity with a text editor
- Working knowledge of interfaces and/or conversions
- PL/SQL knowledge
